Colour matching
The colour is matched to the car in front of us, then blended into the panels beside the repair so the paint does not stop on a hard line. A code on the door plate is a start. The light in the booth, and daylight on the car, is the check. Send clear photos, or bring the car to Lawrence Drive.
Clear coat
Modern paint is colour, then clear. The clear is the gloss and the protection over the colour. Panel repairs, blends and full resprays in this workshop are cleared and baked in the booth, then looked at again before the keys go back.
The dent comes first
Painting over a dent does not hold. If the colour has broken because the panel is pushed, the metal or the plastic is repaired before it is painted. A small dent or a bumper scuff is often a minor accident repair. A crease through several panels belongs with major accident repairs.

Dust, a poor colour match, or paint stopped at a panel gap is what people notice six months later. Jobs are masked, painted and baked here, then checked before the car goes. Getting a paint quote
Tell us the colour if you know it, and whether you want the damaged area repaired or the whole car painted. Photos in daylight, with the panel filling the frame, show the failure better than a sentence does. If the paint is failing because of a dent or a crack in the plastic, say that too — the panel may need repair before it is painted.

Do you paint one panel or the whole car?
Both. A stone chip or one damaged panel is a different job from a full respray or a colour change. Say which you want on the quote form.
Where is the car painted?
In the spray booth at Hinterland Smash Repairs, 52 Lawrence Drive, Nerang. Paint work is not sent to another shop.
Do you apply clear coat?
Yes. Colour is finished with clear, then baked in the Nerang booth. The clear protects the colour and gives the gloss. A repair is blended so it does not leave a hard edge on the next panel.
